I’d like to share one of my side projects that I’m starting on. During my spare time and work time, I’ve sketched, illustrated and doodled on just about everything I have. I’m sure anyone who personally knows me can attest to that. I also have an obsession with collecting enamel pins for my laptop case to represent things I’ve done in my life. It’s a really cool collection!

The other week I decided that I wanted to illustrate my own enamel pin. After looking up the cost and decided to do a test run by creating stickers first. I zoned in on a fun series of sketches I call “skullbots” which are just a series of fun and quirky looking robot skulls. I came across a new goal setting month called SeptemberJanuary by Jon Acuff and decided to fast forward the process and put a timeline for having a physical product on hand by the end of the month. There’s also a new site I’ll be creating to eventually sell the physical end results, but for now I’m focused on one thing.

While I can’t promise I’ll write daily, I’ll do my best to check in and show my progress from the day. In the coming weeks, I’ll be showing sketches, illustrations of the final product, my process of finding printers for stickers and maybe even a tutorial video or to of me actually designing the drawings in Illustrator! My goal by the end of the month is to have a physical product in hand. Stick around to watch my journey this month!
